Refund Policy
Last updated: May 5, 2026This Refund Policy applies to paid Zafronix products purchased through our website — currently the Zafronix World Cup API (“wc-api”). Mobile-game purchases are governed by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies and are outside the scope of this page.
The short version
- Pre-use: if you’ve never made a successfully authenticated request with your API key, we’ll refund you in full within 14 days of purchase. No questions asked.
- Post-use: once any key issued to you has been used to call the API, the purchase is considered fulfilled and is non-refundable, except in the cases listed below.
- Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and will not auto-renew. The current period continues until its scheduled end date.
- EU/UK customers have additional statutory rights described below.
Pre-use refunds
If you purchase API access and then change your mind — before using the key for the first time — email support@zafronix.com from your billing email address within 14 days. We’ll process a full refund through Stripe within 5 business days. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days after that, depending on your card issuer.
“Used” means: at least one HTTP request was sent to a wc-api endpoint that included your API key as authentication and that resulted in a 2xx or 4xx response (3xx redirects, 401 unauthorized, and network errors don’t count). Our request logs are authoritative for this determination.
Post-use refunds
Once your key has been used, the purchase is considered delivered and is non-refundable as a general rule. We will, however, issue a refund or pro-rata credit in these specific cases:
- Verifiable billing error. If you were charged for a plan you didn’t select, charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged a different amount than what was displayed at checkout, contact us. We’ll fix it.
- Service unavailability we caused. If the API is materially unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours due to issues on our side (not your network, not a third-party data source we depend on), we’ll issue a pro-rata credit toward your next billing period. See our service-level page for details on what we commit to.
- Misrepresentation we caused. If a feature, endpoint, or data field was advertised on our site at time of purchase but doesn’t exist or doesn’t work as documented, contact us with specifics. We’ll either fix it or refund pro-rata.
Outside these cases, we don’t issue post-use refunds. We’d rather price the product fairly and stand behind it than build a generous returns policy into the price.
Subscription cancellation
You can cancel a wc-api subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by emailing support@zafronix.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not pro-rate cancelled subscriptions; you keep access for the period you’ve already paid for.
If you want immediate cancellation with a pro-rata refund of the unused portion, request that explicitly in your cancellation email. We’ll review and respond within two business days.
EU, UK, and EEA customers (statutory rights)
If you’re a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the European Economic Area, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital-services contract within 14 days of purchase under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and equivalent UK law.
That right is broader than our pre-use refund policy: it applies even if you’ve started using the service, unless you have expressly waived the cooling-off period before the service was delivered. Our checkout asks you to confirm you want immediate access — ticking that box waives the 14-day right and brings you under the post-use rules above. If you didn’t tick that box, the 14-day cooling-off applies regardless of usage and we’ll refund you in full on request, in line with the Directive.
This section does not affect any rights you have under your local consumer protection law that go beyond what’s described here. Where local law gives you more, local law wins.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please email us first. Disputes filed directly with your card issuer (chargebacks) before contacting us cost both sides money in fees and typically result in account suspension while the dispute is reviewed. We’d much rather just talk to you and resolve it.
How to request a refund
- Email support@zafronix.com from the email address you used at checkout.
- Subject line: “Refund request — [order ID or billing email]”.
- Include the reason. We don’t require justification for pre-use refunds, but it helps us improve.
- We respond within two business days. Approved refunds are issued through Stripe back to the original card.
Governing law
Zafronix LLC is a Wyoming-registered company. This Refund Policy is interpreted under the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise. Where local law applies and is more favorable to you, that local law controls.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes. Material changes will be announced by email to active API customers at least 30 days before they take effect. Changes don’t apply retroactively to purchases already made under a previous version.
